Brilliant Sites & Blogs

These sites and blogs are here because they are really informative or really fun in their down-to-earth wisdom!  Be your own judge.  As sites become more popular and sponsorship increases, so I'm a bit wary of those that have too many products and free offers being pushed at me!

Sarah Buckley MD Blog   Sarah Buckley is a Brisbane doctor with qualifications in GP-obstetrics and family planning. Rockstar Birth  Shalome @ Rockstar Birth provides a brilliant source of inspiration, information, humour and sound advice about birth and mothering.

"When I became pregnant again a few years later, I made a different decision. I looked back on my first birth experience and thought “Nooooo f***g way am I doing that again”. Instead of going with the flow, I decided to back myself in birth. I wasn’t going to rely on the obstetrician, the midwife, or my man, to be the decision-maker in my birth.
I was going to be the expert. First up, I researched my tail off. I looked at how contractions worked. And how to relieve the pain. I worked out how best to work with my body (instead of screaming like a banshee) to breath my baby out. And I booked a kickass birth team to back me whilst I did it."
