Addictions and Pregnancy, information and help
For whatever reason, lots of people get addicted to lots of different substances, from alcohol to ice. Addictions are never healthy or helpful: they hold short term gratification with very destructive and sad long-term payback that impact everyone around the addicted person too. In pregnancy, there is also a little baby that is massively impacted. Thinking about their baby is often a very strong catalyst to make a committed effort to get clean and back on track. Here are some local Sunshine Coast help avenues, and some good resources.

Noosa Confidential, Sunshine Coast
Whether you are struggling with recreational drugs or prescribed medication, an unhealthy reliance on alcohol, cigarettes, sugar, food, gambling, shopping, sex or as is usually the case… a combination of the above, addiction is a common issue for clients who attend Noosa Confidential and does not present in isolation. We take a whole life approach to treat the cause of addictive behaviours, rather than buying into the misunderstanding that as long as you are no longer “doing” the behaviour or “taking” the substance, you are “fixed”.
